No viral LG7 tracks on Tiktok I guess.

it’s a major loss. Tiktok was responsible for Bloody Mary’s viral moment. She also has seen a substantial rise in her streaming catalog due to Tiktok. Removing her music is quite literally going to send her streams down dramatically. Alongside dozens of other artists.

Bad Romance had a mini viral moment with Fortnite Festival on TikTok so this is definitely a major loss for Gaga and other artists.

The fact that this is happening on the verge of LG7 era too… where the music had the potential for viral moments considering a large majority of Tiktok has discovered Gaga in the last 2 years, hence why her overall streams have risen dramatically in the last three years. 

2023 was Gaga’s biggest streaming year, she even beat 2020, thanks to Tiktok viral moments.

I'm sure UMG and TikTok will re-negotiate soon. I mean, UMG is quite literally the biggest music company in the world and oversees thousands of highly profitable artists. Removing the catalogue is just UMG flexing on TikTok to try and force them to reconsider whatever deal that was originally on the table.
