I'm not surprised that the album's coming out after Taylor's—if that is indeed true. I expected the album to come out in April at the absolute earliest tbh.

But the fact that he reiterated February is pretty huge, isn't it? I mean, we only have 2 Fridays left, so he's essentially saying something is either coming out tomorrow or next week. Tbh I find that kind of hard to believe, but I'm staying extremely cautiously optimistic. If the album is coming out after Taylor's, I could see the lead coming in March.

Yeah my main theories are:

1.) He doesn’t want the backlash if nothing comes this month (although in his defense, she did tease a TON this month so he got the timeline right) so he’s convincing himself it’s this month still  

2.) He’s assuming Interscope won’t have Gaga/Selena on the same day, but it still happens that way. 
 

3.) He knows she’s surprise dropping tonight but is sworn to secrecy/afraid to say lol. 
 

4.) February was at one point a lock but things were shifted by a few weeks.
 

 I think 3/1 just makes the most sense with an early June release tbh. But will have my clown make up ready tonight
