sometimes I get so overwhelmed by how Gaga is constantly misunderstood by people everywhere, not only inside the LMs community but mainly in the mainstream public area.

while myself, considering my basic knowledge of French culture, thought of her performance as something lovely, unique, precious, that only she could pull out. she delivered cabaret, moulin rouge, Josephine Baker.. and it was still Gaga. in her most sparkling authentic self. 

I read comments of people that thought she would sing something like Poker Face or Bad Romance, which were able to made me laugh over the anger of those who were insisting on her promoting new music on an event that is not about her or does not have promoting music as its main goal at all. if you think Gaga would do something like that, I don't think you really know the artist you admire that much.
