PunkTheFunk 124,432
Having been on this site for almost ten years, I've learned that expecting a certain sound from Gaga on an upcoming album is setting yourself up for disappointment. If you want a post-funk album she will give you a polka-country fusion. If you want acoustic ballads she will give you Mongolian throat singing. Post-punk, musically, also tends to have more gothic/industrial influence, is often dancier, and also tends to feature a lot of distortion + angular guitar parts We have forgotten our public MANNERS

Post-punk is proto-goth. It has more melody than classic punk, overall sound is like dark 80's new wave/rock hybrid with haunting vocals. It can still have the punk energy, but it feels more haunting. ...has anybody seen my disco stick?
