But all of those polls were taken at a point where Trump wasn't winning primaries & caucuses cuz they hadn't started AND Biden was President so far more present in independent voters minds. As the reality of Trump sinks in now the primary season has begun, unsurprisingly Trump's lead over Biden in polls is again matching 2020. Because the reality of a Trump presidency possibility kicks in for independents, now that the Republican primaries are essentially over (Nikki has no chance) the Trump v Biden contest begins properly and if the mid-terms showed anything - independents don't like MAGA & don't want MAGA level abortion restrictions.
