Terrible statement. She tried to correct it on CNN and gave a more sensible answer. But the gaffe is insane. I don't know what her strategy is, is she really trying to appeal to the MAGA crowd?

They won't vote for her. 90% of her voters are independents and liberals. This kind of statement will turn voters off.

I doubt she'll do well in NH.

Ma'am, you may not be European but you are white

I watched it live and to me it really looked like it was a slip of the tongue. Ironically, during one the republican debates she was going hard on racial justice and spoke about her role in bringing down the confederate flag in SC.

I hate to be this person but I’m of a similar descent to Haley (Mixed Asian and European descent, lighter skin but grew up with an Asian name) and it feels a bit offensive you’re trying to erase someone’s ethnic origin and lived experience because you dislike them.

I'm half hispanic and was born with a Spanish name but I'm not out here calling myself a POC just so I can invalidate the struggles POC face in this country and win a bunch of racists' votes
