I still think this is the best rendition of the Star Spangled Banner in history. Yes, better than Whitney's. It's raw, pure, clean, powerful, gives you chills. Makes you feel patriotic.

It touches your heart... because she sings it whole heartedly. And when she pointed to the flag, which she also did in the inauguration...she made me an American for a moment 

And i like that it has only the piano as accompaniment...makes it a humbling yet impactful performance.

Yes indeed. It's stunning from Gaga, and my all time favourite rendition of the song. If I was ever trying to show someone just how good this woman can be, this is the performance I'd reach for.
