There’s no legal physical/mental health requirements to be elected president besides the ability to breathe however the 25th amendment allows a president “incapable” of carrying out presidential duties to be removed from office and replaced by the VP with the agreement of the VP and a majority of either the principal officers of executive departments or congress. Some of Raegans staff tried to use it against him when was acting strangely after the Iran-Contra scandal but his chief of staff opposed.
