Can u elaborate? Cuz i get the feeling what i find on google and what the opinion here is might diverge.

When it comes to US politicians, especially to do with military... good vs bad opinions on media get fuzzy and its hard to do good research. Especially since America tends to hail its military operations as positive for humanity

This is a short video that covers some of his biggest controversies.

Johnny Harris is one of the most impartial political commentators, so I recommend watching his take on HK's legacy.

Reminds me of 1960s high school debates on war & peace. When JFK & RFK were killed, the West lost their best and it was downhill through Johnson, Nixon, Ford & Carter; history could and should have been much better.

Henry Kissinger did both good (nuclear arms treaties) and bad (Vietnam) in those difficult Cold War times. I’m ambivalent now that he’s dead and gone, but I don’t dance on graves generally, & to me it’s pointless now to judge him through a 2023 lens, as more information then was not generally available, and the West was in the fight against Communism and Russia’s then real nuclear threat with mutual assured destruction not yet achieved.

Just, it seems so long ago…doing nuclear war siren drills and training to duck under the school desk.
