Dont go to Brampton civic omg. That ER is the worst :bear:

Also on that topic how does a city of 700,000 have only 1 fully functioning hospital (even if it is a large one). Its totally nuts

Ya I'd probably lose my mind lol. One time I spent like 14 hours at Credit Valley waiting to talk to their only psych on site since I was going through a crisis lol (I was prescribed benzos after having an OD to manage my panic attacks and never given much assistance otherwise since this happened while Covid was also destroying everything). I mean I did get seen, but he also did eventually lose his job for s*xual misconduct... but that's a whole other issue lol.

Also, it's literally insane that they somehow expect nearly a million people to survive with 1 hospital, while also having less than 300 ICU beds for anything... or enough family doctors. We're broken I fear

So true. And also quoting because I haven’t been on here a lot lately - your profile pic is fire! Is that from the Chromatica era? It’s dark and TFM vibes. :tony:

Thank you! <3 It's a snapshot from the Chromatica Ball Tour opening interlude video when she's kissing the mask. One of my fav looks from the whole era because it's like the perfect mix of TFM/BTW/Chromatica vibes

With pollution, increasing amounts of chemicals in our food, waves coming from billions of phones and routers, antibiotics becoming less and less effective, I feel like even though humanity is doing progress medically, life expectancy will go down a lot during the coming decades.

Yeah were def not healthier cuz of all these things. Average life spans only increased because our medical technology can now prevent majority of premature deaths or at least delay them. Like diabetes or high blood pressure doesnt have to kill u so fast cuz meds can manage it for example

But the moment the healthcare system cant handle our ever increasing ailments, that technology and medical science cant keep up and life expectancy reverts
