I mean terrorists when they behead people, burn people alive, cut off people's hands etc, they genuinely believe that they're doing these things to "evil people". When George W Bush people legalized waterboarding and torture, they thought they were doing these things to "evil people". If you believe that because someone in jail is evil, no "punishment is too small" for them and everything is allowed, what exactly differentiates civilized people from terrorists then? Let's go back to medieval times, bring back torture and all sorts of stuff? Is that what you want? If you believe in due process and human rights then you have to grant them even to the worst people. That's why the worst criminals also have lawyers. But maybe you don't believe in that at all, in which case yeah you can try to live in many of the countries that don't have "these fake ideals" and enjoy it there. People are absolutely right to shrug off this news or not have empathy towards him, but going as far as celebrating it or encouraging it is a different story.
