Interscope co-founder Jimmy Iovine sued over sexual misconduct

Interscope Records co-founder Jimmy Iovine is being sued by an unnamed woman for sexual abuse, forcible touching, sexual harassment and retaliation, according to a document filed in New York court Wednesday.

Though the full complaint is not yet available, a summons with notice was filed by the woman’s attorneys, Douglas Wigdor and Meredith Firetog at Wigdor Law. The case includes an accusation of “multiple instances” of abuse along with a specific incident of sexual misconduct that occurred in New York in 2007.

Yes, Jimmy signed her, he set her up with Fernando Garibay and Zedd, he chose the lead single for ARTPOP, etc. and they were at least close enough that she went to his wedding

To be fair, a ton of celebrities went to his wedding and many singers have praised him. I'm honestly kind of surprised, because while there are rumors about a lot of music figures (there are a lot of predators in the music industry)....there really hasn't been much about him as far as I'm aware. I think the biggest rumor is he had an affair with one of the Pussycat Dolls.

I think she was closer to Vincent what's his name, though, who was Tamar Braxton's ex husband. He was a producer and executive at Interscope, and he used to be at some of her performances back in the day.

I saw there's a law that's expiring this week that will shorten the statue of limitations again and not allow historical cases to be sued for after the filing deadline. That's why so many cases have been filed this past week including against Diddy, Terry Richardson, Axl Rose, Mayor Eric Adams and Jaime Foxx with some of them dating back to the 80s.

Oh man, someone on twitter pointed out Jimmy's wife is the same lady who was married to that much older director who had an "affair" with Kristen Stewart when she was like 20. I say affair in quotes, as in retrospect the power imbalance/age imbalance (he was like 40 and she was like 20) and KStew saying she was not in a good place mentally at the time made it sound like it was a borderline me too situation.
