I've always thought that prison is such an odd punishment for tax fraud... like that just ends up costing the taxpayers more! Just make her pay the taxes plus a big fine and be on her way

this could encourage rich people to evade taxes more and pay only when they are caught by the tax authorities

the only appropriate punishment for tax fraud is complete dispossesment and the guillotine.
