Freddi: I don’t why I’m getting emotional writing this?! I guess if you know the ARTPOP era you just know. But celebrating one’s own freedom to artistically express oneself was a profound revelation for me during this time creating all these hairstyles. I would not be the artist that I am without you @ladygaga you created a very personal masterpiece that stood the test of time. I love you so much! And thank you @inezandvinoodh for these now iconic images and videos.

This era really pushed me boundlessly! It was a true masterclass of self expression and a performance art piece! Thank you to every single monster who has always shown their love and devotion to this era and the stories I’ve heard of the many of you whom also share these similarities. Sarah: I feel like being vulnerable. I sat down to work on some Haus Labs at my vanity and felt a creative block. I remembered seeing @fredericaspiras post about #ARTPOP celebrating the anniversary, which prompted me to look through all my old photos. I couldn’t help but get emotional.
Towards the end of ARTPOP I became Lady Gaga’s full-time makeup artist, which of course changed my whole life. Till then I had been working with her dancers on tour, and hustling in NYC in between legs of the World Tour.

I looked at some of our first work together and saw such freedom in my artistry. I was never worried about who liked it or what people would say. Gaga always believed in me, and pushed me to put my artistry out there with confidence, and to trust my instincts. To have a friend and a muse who supports artists, ALL ARTISTS the way she does is unmatched. Today I look at how far I have come, and how far Gaga, Frederic and I have come together. To sit here in front of my mirror getting the opportunity to work on her makeup line @hauslabs together is a real moment of self reflection and tremendous gratitude.

I’m always very hard on myself and don’t give myself any credit. Today I think this is exactly what I needed. 10 beautiful years filled lots of love, eyeliner, and inspiration; enough for a lifetime. Thank you Gaga, and my Haus of Gaga family for always being just that; my chosen family.

I wouldn't say that we don't care. But we have triggers of our own. And we deal with them, sometimes daily. 

She lives a very privileged life, that she worked hard for, but has been financially supported by her fans. Even if she doesn't release extra content, the least she could do is at least acknowledge it.

I would take a heartfelt social media post about ARTPOP over the expensive merch and leaks any day.

I was thinking about this last night. I was going through the leaked ARTPOP pictures and was just washed over with overwhelming emotions. Remembering that time, being younger, the fun and the pain in that era, how things have changed, how so much fell apart at the time but Gaga just kept going, how the fans turned, the joy and excitement I felt with every eccentric look she touted. If just looking at some pictures makes me, some random ass fan, want to cry, then I imagine looking back at that period in her life that she lived through would be incredibly overwhelming.

I think a lot of people see BTW as the apex of her sadness and internal struggles, and that ARTPOP was the beginning of Gaga finding her inner joy for life. But I think that's wrong. She was hurting incredibly badly during ARTPOP and doing everything she possibly could to mask it. Probably to convince herself. She also got engaged and broke up for the first time back then. What do you Think Gypsy feels like to her? The song about her love for Taylor Kinney. What about Swine? The song where she first spoke about her sexual abuse. DWUW? Knowing that she worked with multiple disgusting men back then and gave them a platform, as a survivor herself. Whoever thinks ARTPOP is a fond memory for Gaga is blind. I'm sure she has her pockets of happy nostalgia, but for the most part I'm sure all she sees is her pain exploding in electronic music

yet she happily includes album tracks from that album in her setlists to this day when she has tonnes of other songs to choose from... surely that would be just as triggering, no?

If we play by this logic why does she keep performing You and I, a song about Luc Carl that its music video includes Taylor Kinney and where they met.
