Rumours Madonna and Dua Lipa to headline Glastonbury untrue, organiser says

Glastonbury co-organiser Emily Eavis has addressed a report that claimed to reveal who would be headlining the 2024 festival.

Days after ticket sales for next year’s edition of the Worthy Farm festival were pushed back by two weeks, a leak claimed to know who the three main performers on the festival’s famous Pyramid Stage would be.

On Saturday (4 November), MailOnline ran a report claiming that the three headliners had been confirmed as Madonna, Dua Lipa and Coldplay.

Despite strong rumours that Madonna will headline next year, Eavis debunked the entire report as “untrue”, writing on Twitter the following day:

Madonna I think is pretty much guaranteed. And part of me hopes we get a single from her new material at that point on the back of a successful tour.

Dua Lipa I'm less convinced by. 
Coldplay I really hope not lol 

Given that Glasto still tries to pretend its like it's old rock festival days whenever purists moan - I think they should get Paramore so they have a female fronted rock group as a headline. 

Also Sting is doing Summer shows in the UK next year in part as a form of greatest hits selection his solo & Police tracks. So he's a potential.
