Funny seeing people using all kinds of other examples to deny and put down her achievements

Canadian Lol GIF

Waiting for someone to mention Adele and pretend she still sells more than Taylor just to undercut her success. The last time someone mentioned 30's international sales are on par with Midnights. I'm a Swiftie and even I don't know these things :lmao:

Love her (I do) or not.. it’s cool to see an artist in the midst of creating their legacy. We’re all going to look back and tell the next generations what it was like to witness all of this.
Not even just Taylor for that matter. We’re living in a really cool time in terms of music artists

Chromatica had 2. And it also only had 3 vinyls when it was released, clear, milky and picture disc. UO's, RSD day and trifold came way later. I can't tell what the 7th one is.

Edit: Like I said, it's still huge numbers, but we can't pretend it wasn't only supported on 5 vinyls when there was other things.

i think the 7th is the fully transparent one

but that infographic is wrong anyway, midnights has like 10+ vinyl variants

mother, what must i do?

Yeah I think that would be the clear one? The only other Chromatica related vinyl I can think of is DOC's

Guys even if there was 1 version of the album you’d be lying to yourself if you thought it wouldn’t sell insanely well. She’s been pulling these kind of numbers since her inception. Please can we just be happy or neutral. Trying to pinpoint or undermine her success is delusional at this point. A lot of people love her music, it’s not that hard to understand.

People in here arguing about her vinyl variants when The Rolling Stones just put out 46 for their album and didn't even come close to her sales. It's almost as if you can put out as many variants as you want but if people aren't willing to buy them it doesn't matter.

People were really tricked into buying the same songs twice (and not even as good as the originals). :lmao:

discogs lists like 10

Discogs version lists seperate productions based on a number of factors that aren't significant of additional variants. Because for really geeky audiophiles things like production plant, year of production etc are ridiculously important. And why with older records especially, you can see a 7inch single's price vary from 50p all the way up to 4/5/6 figures depending on its specs.

Discogs lists 16 vinyl versions for Midnights.

But for instance, the Lavender Marbled vinyl is listed twice as there were different production plants used for the USA sales & European sales. It also has a 3rd listing as there were repressings done in the US market for 2023.
It also lists the Moonstone, Mahogany, Blood Moon & Jade variants twice as they were also available signed.

It has the Moonstone Blue Marbled unsigned listed twice due to an uncorrected seller error.
It also inclodes a Bootleg 3am edition vinyl & 2 other bootlegs.

There is actually only 5 different colour variants listed on discogs that are from official publishers. Moonstone Blue Marbled, Mahogany Marbled, Blood Moon Marbled, Jade Green Marbled & Lavender Marbled.
