StrawberryBlond 14,572 Posted October 31, 2023 Share Posted October 31, 2023 For those who don't know, Strictly has to do live cover versions of all the songs used on the show due to copyright reasons. There's a live band for every performance which is why the renditions usually sound slightly unpolished and raw. I was baffled at them changing lyrics but when it involves religious figures, they just want to be free of specific religious references on a show that's meant for everyone. Didn't expect them to dance to this and the fact it was basically the entire routine was incredible. Gaga's getting unintentional promotion without having to do it herself which is great considering how much she's been paying the UK dust for years now. The grown adults dressed as children/teens, the lyric changes to coddle the (adult) pearl clutching crowd, the musty sounding iTunes stock vocalist that you would hear on an "in the style of Lady Gaga" track. Pleathe.. As if they could ever do such an eclectic and sensationally dark song justice, though. fragment-fragment--bul-uh...scab-uh..fragment-foot, bullet fragment foot bich!
