I’ll take the CGI dwarfs if Disney can please recast the role of Snow White. That insufferable egotist is far from everything Snow White was inside and out. The long sleeves on the dress look tacky af as well. Disney please rework the entire thing if you must do a remake.

It surprised me that they'd come up with these CGI dwarves so fast. Makes me wonder how soon they started working on this new development post-backlash, considering the original backstage photos of the '7 magical creatures' and Rachel in a different costume already got released not all that long ago. This is a turnaround and a half. The delay was expected but a whole year? Clearly, they're hoping that time will let the hate train blow over and all will be forgotten by 2025. Reality is that the internet never forgets. Rumours were that Rachel would be replaced but they're still taking the risk probably because that's the kind of extreme change that's just downright embarrassing to let the public dictate that much and this is bad news for future major productions if negative public perception can sway things and lose studios millions in the process. If there was one Disney film that never should've got remade, it was this one. Apparently, Walt was the most protective over this film and even stopped a sequel getting made because he never wanted it tampered with in any way. He'd be massively disapproving if he could see this today.

I'll take the critique of any 5 year old serious, if they said they didn't like the movie for one reason or another, but not 30 something gays on the internet haha 

Adults grew up with these movies, though, and want that nostalgia back. Nostalgia is the entire selling point of these remakes. You'll find that most kids today don't even watch old Disney, just the new stuff. I saw a comment online that said how they'd mentioned that they'd loved Robin Williams as the genie in Aladdin and this kid didn't know who that was and said that the genie's played by Will Smith. All potential viewers count and if it's mostly adults, then so be it. And remember that even if it is for kids, you still have to have the adults on side because they're the ones that ultimately decide if their kid gets to go see it or not. If a parent thinks it looks bad, they won't take their kid to the cinema to see it. I know if I had children, I wouldn't take them to see movies that I think look substandard. If they can maybe watch it for free as part of a streaming package, fine, but no way would I pay through the nose for cinema tickets for a bad movie for both of us. Adults understand that when you do this, it sends the message to studios to keep making these bad movies because they make money. If we don't go see them, they'll hopefully get the message that we'll only accept quality.

In interviews she's done for the movie, she looked down on on the original, saying that we're not living in 1937 anymore and the new version's going to be much more progressive and Snow White won't be dreaming of true love and won't be saved by the prince (major spoiler there, I know, but it just comes out) and even said the prince in the original basically stalks her and it's 'weird, weird!' That she's going to be the leader her father always said she could be if she was brave, honest and true. She even says that the actor playing the prince "might have all his scenes cut, who knows, it's Hollywood, baby." In another interview, she even said she was scared of the movie as a kid and watched it once then never again. And there's also a clip of her saying if she's going to be wearing a full princess dress, she expects to be paid more money. The overriding impression the public got was that she isn't even a fan of the film yet weirdly took on the lead role and just wants to change it to suit a modern agenda and make it nothing like the original and that she's acting bratty and entitled. The internet is SAVAGE towards her over it, especially using her funny facial expressions for exaggerated mocking screenshots. I do feel a bit sorry for her as that's a bit much but she really should've thought before she spoke, planned her responses, got more media training. I think overall she's getting a reputation as a bit of a diva even though she's just started out and hasn't been in any profitable films so far. She recently got cut from the upcoming Paddington In Peru movie apparently because she can't film as per SAGAFTRA rules but considering the vast array of actors cast in it, it's suspected she was dropped for fear that she's going to be box office poison for not just Snow White but any other movie she's in.

Lemme just say, the casting is pretty okay.

The moral of Snow White story is that the about inner beauty, not physical. Thus when they cast a beuaty queen zionist to become the Evil Queen, that’s actually an immaculate casting.
