YourEvilTwin 1,384
Being a spineless neoliberal corporatist lapdog is par the course for every US president so I wouldn't be too hard on him for that. Personally I draw the line at actively enabling and bankrolling a genocide.
Axl Jax 634
I think it's because, amongst other political reasons others have said, the fact that his mental decline in old age is becoming more and more apparent. I'm from the UK but I recognise that we need a strong, mentally equipped individual leading the west on the world stage. Especially during these times with a potential huge war bubbling up. I recently saw this 'gaffe' which is quite concerning, I had no idea he had gotten this bad: I also believe the US needs someone who will unite the public, both sides have become increasingly polarised since trump and it's not the way forward. Right now it seems that RFK Jr is the best person for this, and that's saying something. He has some views that I don't like, and he's said things in the past that I don't agree with, however out of him, biden or trump, he is a million times better for the country and the world overall honestly. And, again - that says something about the state of affairs currently. I used to believe the world will slowly become more leftist over time, but what's happened is each side has become more extreme and the divide is becoming bigger. Unity is what we need... this is why I quite liked the UAP/UFO congress hearing a couple months ago, for once everyone came together in pursuit of a common interest

Say what you want about our last two presidents but the modern day lower middle class has never suffered like they have under this administration. He’s also mentally unfit. The withdrawal from Afghanistan was disastrous and so was the scale of our financial response to the Russo-Ukrainian conflict. Obviously that’s not all on him but his administration and inability to lead U make it sound like this administration is at fault for the recent economic pain. They didnt do anything to cause it. Its very much global factors I often get surprised at how much ppl still blame Presidents/Prime Ministers etc for short to medium term economic swings. Most policies take several years to significantly improve or deteriorate an economy. Theres a long lag time. U rarely see the true scope of impact of what an administration does during the short times they are usually in office It largely makes economic conditions they enherit a matter of luck. PS: Not that I think Biden is so great for the economy. But im just saying the factors causing economic pain like high inflation atm have almost nothing to do with him. Virtually the whole world is feeling it

I mean, those can have long term concequences to the general population.... but i dont know enough about 1980s deregulation in US to say much about it tbh The 2017 tax cuts definitely have contributed to financial deterioration of the US (tho on a net basis i still blame bloated military spending the most of all on that front) In terms of the high inflation rn specifically, i think Post Pandemic pent-up demand and consumer habit recalibration, the war, and to a much lesser extent (but wont help long term) ageing population are the big things. Nothing Biden did to cause that Excluding the short term inflation issues... Other issues regarding long term inequality yeah, definitely past policies matter a lot. If Biden deserves any blame there is not doing enough to try to undo it but ye definitely didnt cause it
