I agree to the extent that Joanne’s production did feel a touch flat. If it were analog instrumentation that feels/sounds live like ASIB, I’d def be here for it

She is highly rumoured working with Burns and Andeew Watt at Nightbird studio in West Hollywood over the last few months.

RedOne is also back in Malibu since mid-September.

That could be some lead about who is involved.

Not 100% sure until confirmed of course. But let's be surprised if those producers gets credits on next record.

Oh, I've seen those. I thought there was someone new added to the mix. 

It's interesting to see how much different this pre-era could be compared to other eras. Compared to Chromatica (where we have dozens of pics with bloodpop) or Joanne (with Mark Ronson), this one feels much more secretive. It's kind of exciting!

As a mixer though. If you look at his full portfolio, his credits bounce from rock to electronic to soul to hip hop to R&B, to electroclash to even house. Sound engineers don't determine the genre of music.
