The lead single was Frozen though :huntyga:

MB, idk why but I always remember those singles out of sync. Just feels like Frozen came later for no reason.

Ray of Light a lesser known song???

Yeah, I know its iconic but the crowd did not really react to it.

You did not just call Ray of Light, the lead track from her most critically acclaimed & well loved album a "lesser known song"

Gurl. Car park. Now. lol:grr:

Noooo I mean I LOVE Ray Of Light and now it was big but last night it was like people heard it for the first time.

4th Time Around

So I saw last night’s show in Antwerp, here’s a short little review.

The show started over an hour late (21:40), which was a bit of a buzzkill. But when she opened the show with Nothing Really Matters, I was so taken by her presence. I thought the whole first act was strong, despite some technical difficulties during Burning Up. The Live To Tell performance was stunning, my favorite moment of the evening.

The second half of the show is more shaky, with lots of interludes and dance breaks. She got the crowd going with Hung Up (despite using a horrible intro for it) and La Isla Bonita, but only performed short versions of hits like these. The Bad Girl performance was another highlight for me, great vocals and a lovely mother-daughter moment.

The choice to do Bedtime Story, Ray Of Light and Rain in that order towards the end of the show is honestly risky, the crowd was dead during these lesser known songs. She did create a nice moment prior to this by telling the crowd about her illness last summer and covering I Will Survive.

The finale was a bit of a letdown to me. Give Me All Your Luv and Bitch I’m Madonna are horrible closers and she was noticeably tired. Also I could have done without the weird little theatre moments with Bob throughout the show.

Higlights: the opening and first act, Live To Tell, Mother and Father, Human Nature, La Isla Bonita, Bad Girl, Hung Up.

I have seen some videos from the Antwerp show and you can definitely tell she was more tired than some of the London dates by the end, I think that has something to do with the fact that she said she has some type of cold right now. As for the show itself, I agree with you that the ending could be tweaked a bit. Other than that I have no complaints at all, the segment from Erotica to Bad Girl is even stronger than the opening act in my opinion and I actually like that weird intro to Hung Up because once the main song hits, everyone goes crazy.

Hey, I'm king of the world, you ought to hear my song, you come on measure me, I'm twenty inches long

That’s odd?? Maybe they were tired bc it’s definitely a hit of hers lol or maybe the placement was weird??

From Wikipedia: In Belgium, "Ray of Light" was moderately successful in both territories, peaking at number 25 in Flanders and 33 in Wallonia.

Guess that explains it.

Sepsami

Just saw her for the first time ever last night together with my family (and they're not really fans) and we ate it all up. Even the lesser known songs were just moments to sit back and take in the spectacle. The general public will eat this up, trust and believe :diane:

I saw her in Barcelona 2 days ago and I still can't believe it... I have always loved some of her songs but never considered myself a fan and this is my first time seeing her. But d*mn... I have the feeling I witnessed a historical moment! I love Gaga and others but after seeing this tour something has changed. I can see why Madonna is considered the queen of pop, she is simply in another level

I still have goosebumps when I think about that night :tony:
