Both second albums for each artist were much bigger, successful, and mature than the one that came before it. trolly troll troll

Dua's first "album" was 3 years of singles.. while TFM started a year and some after The Fame, while Paparazzi was still peaking. Gaga was BAM BAM BAM while Dua had a very gradual rise
StrawberryBlond 13,964
Miley from Can't Be Tamed to Bangerz (mildly raunchy teen star to wearing transparent underwear while touching herself with a foam finger and twerking on Robin Thicke) Gaga from ARTPOP to Joanne (off-the-wall dressing in floral underwear and shells in her hair to a simple pink suit and stetson) Taylor from Red to 1989 (country girl dressing with occasional hipster style with brogues and curly hair to modern fashionable clothes, short skirts, heels and straight in a choppy cut) Nelly Furtado from Folklore to Loose (from t-shirts, vest tops, jeans, cargo pants and sneakers to belly tops and short skirts with heels which people made such a big deal of at the time in a way they wouldn't today) Madonna from Bedtime Stories to Ray Of Light (from soft and fluffy outfits and occasional bondage wear with blonde hair to simple black clothing and dark hair in a way that she'd never looked before and has never looked since) and I think we all know the one who was the most extreme with her back-to-back reinventions... Xtina from her debut to Stripped (from 90's teen popstar girl-next-door dressing to full on walking sex with bikini tops, assless chaps and hair like rats tails) Xtina from Stripped to Back To Basics (the above followed by 40's pin-up and with a curled hair and a signature red lip) Xtina from Back To Basics to Bionic (the above followed by tight leather clothes in a 'futuristic' style)
doppelganger 3,848
Stripped by Christina was a shocking transformation especially in relation to what her peers were doing at the time. That was a good time for pop music. Mariah Carey trading her turtleneck with the tiniest of dresses on Honey featuring an orgy of rappers, and completely changing the way she sings on record. Madonna transforming into an enlightened pop star with Ray of Light.

MelbHawker 6,583
JT’s reinvention from FS/LS to 20/20 was super cool.. I know he’s got many haters on here, but musically it masterful work IMO.
hELXIG 41,527
Obviously Gaga every era - the next era. She's switched it up so much every single time. But the most notable would be TF - TFM. Nobody was expecting that jump! I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
