ARTPOP, (as an album and era) is a chaotically beautiful masterpiece that deserves its flowers and I will die on this hill ❤️

95% of fans agree that ARTPOP isn't bad even tho it flopped while half of her fanbase left because of Jazz and Joanne

no, the implosion within the fanbase was just as bad as joanne because a lot of fans who stuck around just to boast about her sales jumped shipped even though the album was still number 1

the mainstream media was happily tearing her down which changed the opinions of casual fans and the GP

fan backlash about joanne was nowhere near as bad as ARTPOP era or vegas announcement

mother, what must i do?

The opinion of general audiences matters as well. Fans are not the only consumers of music

I wasn't even a fan of GaGa back in 2013, but even I caught wind of the insane hate train this album was receiving. It wasn't actually proper criticism it was just people throwing around "flop", "fad", "dated" "too loud" "EDM" etc.

Thankfully overtime that ridiculous narrative has slowly faded out. It's a solid album with so much colour and flavour.

G.U.Y being her best pop song until Rain On Me. Period. That’s my favourite song of ARTPOP. :traumatica:

Her most underrated single. Deserves much more love and success.

When we're not together tell me everything's gonna be alright

She could release even the best song ever created on earth during those days, but media  already decided she had to flop

like 2/3 of that review has to do with the prep and promo of the album instead of the actual music... yawwnn :littlepotter:

Honestly this review is very well written and the writer clearly has spent time thinking about Gaga and her work. There’s actually analysis of the themes of the album and callbacks connecting to back to moments in Gagas career. I wish the number grade came in higher but it’s a pretty fair review.
