I'd be okay with this only if she actually announces her Vegas performance dates WELL IN ADVANCE. People need to actually be able to plan planes, vacation time from work, budget, hotel, etc. Throwing them all out a month from X date suddenly is not cool. Like I'm talking they need to be announced 8 months to a year in advance.

Why are people on Twitter acting like this means she's going to stop touring and pop music forever, hasn't she been doing Vegas shows since like 2018 :enigma: I don't get the drama. She loves performing Jazz and this gives her a great stage to do so.

Having a residency which is logistically in her backyard isn’t sad, she gets to perform whenever she wants, even without new music.

Artists quit performing-  full stop.
Britney is going on 5 years. Rihanna is on year 7. Madonna went 8 years without a tour. Miley, Adele, and countless others talk about the toll touring has on them. That’s sad, and a testament to how hard it is to tour.

Gaga being able to perform whenever she can be scheduled isn’t sad.

It’s strange you’d rather her not do a residency than not tour at all.

Thank you for this. It’s basically a more humane and realistic version of touring that she seems to really resonate with and do well with physically.

Unrelated, but I am also Tyler (1996 version) :ororomunroe:

Yeah like fr, I don't care about the Jazz shows but if she did a great pop show in Vegas I would love to, but plane tickets are around 1.000€-2000€, so I can't just choose to expend that money from one month to another :deadbanana:

I'm very happy with this. I think it's an example of her commitment to music. Some people might not get to see her live. But she'll probably still release music, as she was intending to do with Chromatica. And we got the CBT with it, which was international. So a world tour is a possibility. I'd understand her retiring entirely with everything that's gone on during her career, but I'm happy she still wants to do music.

This is upsetting for fans because due to the state of the economy, it means that the huge majority will never get to see her!

However, it’s great for Gaga herself. As long as she’s happy and healthy is all that matters.
I Would be happy if she could do more live/ televised performances too.

It’s good for her. However, Am*rican fans on their high horses preaching to non-am*rican fans or to fans who don’t live in big European cities (because let’s be honest, Chromatica Ball was not accessible at ALL) is annoying as ****. Seeing her is a privilege for sure, yes, but it is a privilege that YOU have and millions of other fans who love her just as much as you do just get to watch from afar, so I think they have a right to complain.

So long ggd, it was nice while it lasted.

Yeah like this was discussed previously and when Bobby said something like "Well come to Vegas" it was weird lol I would love to have the ability to spend 6k on a trip just to see Gaga but that ain't possible

Babylon Dynasty

some monsters need to understand that she enjoys this but that doesn't mean she'll quit pop at all, we all know she's not the yearly-album-release-pop-star and she's been very secretive lately. So calm tf down and enjoy what she has to offer or listen to another artist before she start another pop era it's not that deep. :derpga:

Strike a pose ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍💖

Vegas has never stopped her from doing like... anything lol. Chromatica era was originally planned to be BIG and she still had Enigma shows scheduled a few weeks after the album launch with the tour coming up after a month.

Fans who are not delulu already sees this as soon as she signed that original contract, that she will stay in Vegas for few years at least :fan:

And honestly good for her. The show scheduling agrees with her and her health.

Prostitute Barbie

Didn’t she say once if she never became famous she’d be in New York performing Jazz somewhere. Maybe this is like that (on a larger scale of course) and is what brings her the most joy. I don’t think she probably loves the crazy travel schedules
