Celebs have been “promoting” unrealistic features for a couple years, and it influences people to reach these new standards, including myself, many people and I have suffered from the consequences of these body modifications, it NEEDS to be pointed at. I see nothing wrong with “fixing” something that makes you feel insecure, but the fact that we’ve reached a point where these completely unrealistic features (especially the lips, breasts and @ss in today’s society) is really alarming to me. Without the whole trend, nobody would feel the actual need to have a huuuge @ss or huge lips. Some people could suffer for not having enough lips or buttocks and then get injected, and it’s fine and understandable, but no one would have an actual complex for not having huge ones. So I completely understand you, I understand it can make people sick, but at some point, in my opinion these injections have to be mocked and not only criticized, for them not to be replicated. It might hurt some people which is unfortunate, but it might also save a lot on the long run. It’s not just a haircut or a tattoo, it literally creates dysmorphophobia. And at the end of the day, the celebs who perpetuate that are first of all victims of it, so they’re not to blame personnally, but I think young (and and influent) people need to hear and read that cigarettes makes you smell like sh*t (I do smoke, try to quit), that a pastesque butt with a thin waist looks nothing but normal, or that doing wheelies on the road makes you look ridiculous You’re free to make a thread about all that if you like, it’s unnecessary here. I just know the little complainers are about to switch any minute though. "I know we said we wanted her to post more, but now she's just posting jazz selfies. It's not genuine!" She looks so cute, I'm glad she seems so happy right now

It's their thing. We cannot forbid everything and we shouldn't shame others for doing it, because we have no idea what their journey is all about. I do get your point though and I think it's important to speak about unrealistic beauty standards in general, but in these threads where a simple insta selfie of Gaga is shown, a lot of times people start becoming really mean and disgusting towards her. And I didn't create this thread to have her appearance bashed now - I simply loved how stunning she looks in those pictures and I wanted to share. If you wanna discuss beauty standards and the importance to talk about them - please create a thread, because I do find the topic very interesting and I think it's great to have a discussion about it & to hear different opinions.
