Honestly this is his karma. It's just like that one bigots (I forget her name but she was infamous for getting pied on video) grand kid who ended up being LGBTQ+ after all the BS that she spewed. Elon is simply exposing himself for the sh!tty parental figure that he is, and he deserves it.

He overshares a lot, I wish he’d stay off his platform (which is struggling for sure). There’s something peculiar in that family. It’s a shame he’s attacking his daughter so openly.

Though… he’s right that the idea of rich people by default are evil is false. It’s an oversimplification.

Okay, so blood diamonds in colonized Africa is just "not being nice" then?  Hoarding wealth that belongs to everyone isnt evil in itself?  I mean, the man could actually solve lots of real world problems, were he to just live on a couple million per year even.  But he doesn't.  I think that in itself is pretty evil- being able to solve entire hunger crises in some places and not just because "my money is MINE, I sat in an office chair and told people what to do for two hours last week, I deserve all those billions"

Choosing to spend billions on yourself is not evil, its just basic human nature, and going along the current systemic incentives. The system is built on money and power, and while Elon can live a good lifestyle from 1% of his money, he will lose all his power if he does so.  Humans are gonna human, you cant blame them for being humans, what we should do is change the system.

Not to mention Elon actually contributes alot to the world, hes not just a billionaire celebrity doing nothing.

That doesn't mean that this system that propels inequality should be normalized. Yes we are human, we have our own desires, and it's instinctual to fill those needs, however, self-control and compassion are also intrinsic qualities of a human. You are selfish if you don't have self-control nor compassion to others. Humans are social beings, we need help from others and it's indeed our obligation to help those in need.

Elon is a bad person. That's just who he is. Won't matter if he's rich or not, he's just a bad person with a disgusting perspective about the world. I don't trust billionaires who haven't done **** in solving world hunger lmao

I completely agree with you, this is what makes humans special, is we can go out of our nature to self control.

Elon is a bad person, but its not because hes billionaire, or because he did not save world hunger. To me thats a completely weak argument.

We always have a choice to be selfish as **** or not.  What constitutes evil?  If it's not an extreme selfishness at the expense of others, I don't know what is.  I don't think people realize how much even 1 billion dollars is.  You say it so flippantly, as if a billion dollars is just a slightly higher wealth bracket than millionaire.  It's not, it's a huge jump.  And it's also a huge portion of the global wealth hoarded into individuals' pockets.  Inherently, in order to possess that kind of wealth, millions of people must be impoverished.

In other terms, if there are 10 apples on the table and five people, then you take and hoard 9 of them, leaving the other 4 people to fight over the last one, you're an asshole.  Whether or not something is human nature doesn't matter.  We've created society, rules and ethics for a reason- it makes our lives better.  Having billions doesn't come without a huge cost to other people, and extreme wealth isn't generated out of thin air nor through hard work.  It comes on the backs of workers, people you screw over in business and world crises you could solve yet actively refuse to help because you have a wet dream of colonizing mars, or some dumb ****.

Besides, this really isn't even a moral issue at the end of the day as much as it is a logical issue.  None of us here, odds are, will ever become billionaires.  So why the hell should we bend to the interests of billionaires just because of some abstract principal of their right to wealth?  If it's actively hurting the world, shouldn't something be done about that?
