I could kind of see Brooklyn Nights getting surprise dropped tbh?

It would even more interesting as DJWS said a long time ago that the versions of Brooklyn Nights we heard were not the final versions.

Gaga’s never been known for releasing deluxe albums with unreleased or brand new songs. Hell, we even beg her team to release a target exclusive song on streaming platforms. Best case scenario is releasing new ARTPOP 10th anniversary merch. LG7, on the other hand, won’t come anytime soon honestly. No one starts an era right before the end of the year. Major artists starts their eras in February-May (like Chromatica), so they can tour during summer. Gaga’s gonna be booked this time next year for Joker 2, if those strikes don’t affect the release schedule. The only option for LG7 being released next year, is if the movie release is moved to a later date.

Adele put out her album in November. ARTPOP and TFM came out in November, Joanne came out in October.

Adele didn’t do sh- about her album. She started doing residencies for almost a year, so this is a lot.ArtRave started on may  till November 2014. She was feeding us during the era. During Joanne she’s was BOOKED AND BUSY with events. I don’t think Gaga has the time to star a new era soon, considering she has show till October and probably will add more till end of December (she has a contract to fulfill). Joker FAD might premiere during summer for Venice film festival (which starts in August next summer), which means she’s gonna be busy during summer. Nowadays a tour generates the money for an era, not the sales or awards performances

It's not Interscope, but Troy, he's the reason anything "vault" pre-Bobby is not seeing the light.

This is the reason why the BTW 10th Anniversary was made by covers and not the vault material, she recorded a lot of songs for BTW.

I know this is a popular opinion/rumour but I really don't think it's true.

For one, I've read a lot of the leaked documents and haven't seen anything like this. (Now I'm not a lawyer so I will say anything could have gone over my head. But still, I didn't see anything like it.)

For two, this would be a very abnormal business practice. Interscope is her label, we've seen that contract, her management has nothing to do with it. Why would her label give her manager a piece of what they own? They pay Gaga to make songs for them. Gaga hires someone to manage her and pays them herself. Two separate things. Now, Troy was involved in a lot of her other business ventures for sure, and she had a contract with him that had to be paid out when they split yes, but I REALLY can't see a scenario where he has any ownership over Gaga's musical work.

If anyone has any concrete info about this I'd love to know, though

I doubt Troy has anything to say, and even if he did, I doubt he would refuse anything

He was her manager, not someone important at Interscope, how would he even be part of the situation?

The problem is that he helped financially to many of her projects, including music, so he has the rights on her music up to ARTPOP, he still gets royalties for anything that was released during his management period.

All the projects with Troy were disbanded in less than a year after the split, because he cashed out the money/he co-owned them with Gaga.

another example is that Vincent Herbert is credited not only as her A&R but also as the executive producer up to Cheek to Cheek.

Her first contracts were shitty and gave too much to too many people.

I think this is where the confusion comes from. Because you're right, he was heavily involved in her business ventures and projects. Like for example, the ARTPOP app was tied to a tech company he invested in or part-owned or something. So that being scrapped was due to his involvement.

But music? I've seen no evidence anywhere that he has rights to this, that he gets royalties, anything.  And again, I've read most of those legal leaks. Plus it would just be so highly unusual. This is precisely why a label would not allow a non-employee like Troy to have rights, so there would be no issues if they spit with the artist (which happens pretty regularly). Gaga is basically Interscope's employee, and Troy was HER employee, but Interscope owns that music, no question.

Night Vision

Even if she could release it, I don't think she would. It's just in the past and I don't see Gaga re-opening that time of her life.

Not understanding the hype. People complained left and right in here when ARTPOP was released and suddenly a ton of you are acting like this album is the best thing since sliced bread. Forget about ACT II and let’s patiently wait for new music. I bet the ones asking for act II every hour would be the first to say what a letdown it is if it was to ever be released.

This is where I'm like "do I know insider info or is this widely known" and I try to be careful about what I say 'cause Admin has my home address and he's not afraid to give it to Bobby

Like @Scratchy Balls said, Troy is the reason BTW10 wasn't all it could be and he's also the reason we're almost definitely never seeing Act II. At least, not in the way we want it :laughga:

That's all I'll say
