No hard evidence- just assumptions.

 5F2 showed she wasn’t exactly impressed with the direction she was given when she was filming Roanoke. She wasn’t being directed by Murphy himself, though. 

Roanoke was very much a glorified cameo for Gaga, very little screen time, and heavy makeup. She may have been frustrated that she was doing projects congruently, as she likes to focus on one thing at a time.

Last season was rock bottom and a huge part of the fanbase backed off seasons ago. I'm a massive massive horror fan but I'm happy they're quitting because the show simply ran out of ideas

Likely cos there's no opportunity for them to aligned for a project again. It's normal, I won't think too much about it.

Because she wants an Oscar and wants to star in serious and successful movies, not in a now mid show that had its prime like 10 years ago

if she was only focusing on her actress activities, im sure she’d find some time to show up, but given how she’s busy it’s only natural she’s only seizing opportunities you cannot not seize

She's also choosing her roles very carefully! AHS (and I guess Sin City and Machete) gave her the kickstart she needed, then after ASIB I guess she wanted to show her versatility. Patrizia was a hugely different character to Ally, and I'm sure Harley will be very different again. I think after her Joker role she will be cemented in the world of Hollywood as a genuine, talented actor. It's very strategic, so she has no reason to go back to small-time TV (Kinda a waste of her time when she's getting bigger things to work on)

I think she didn’t want to become a Ryan Murphy actor. It’s a type cast of its own. It likely has nothing to do with him and just simply she wanted to do more roles in films and ASIB gave her the leverage to do that.

If he was making decent shows still, I'd want her in them but he's not so I'm not arsed.
