Taylor Swift Allegedly Turned Down the Super Bowl (Again)

Taylor Swift was reportedly asked to do the Super Bowl this year, but she turned down the offer. This is the second time doing this after she apparently did so with the 2023 Super Bowl as well. The reasoning this time may be due to her Eras tour being in Japan in February 2024. While this is allegedly her second time cancelling, there are no words saying that she would not do it in the future.

Honestly not a bad idea. Even with the tour aside I feel like this would overexpose her too much. 2025 would be better because it would extend her current mega peak even longer with a lower risk of people getting tired of her.

Agreed. Super Bowl these days is more of just a PR move to boost your sales and popularity, and she already has both going on effortlessly.

I feel she'll agree to it once all her re-recordings are out.

Which makes sense tbh. She’s really focused on her MASSIVE tour plus feed her fans right now so she can push that hype further a little more. Her SB, when happens, is going to be another big moment in the music for sure.

I feel like she will take a hiatus after the tour and then do the superbowl in 2029 or 2030 - a way to show her longevity and to end or start the decade with a bang.

It wouldn't make much sense for her to do it. She's re-recording half of her catalogue still and she's having no issues moving copies. It'd be best for her to save the opportunity for the future when the hype dies down around her.

I think I remember her saying she'll do it once the re-recordings are done. It's smarter because she won't have to pay licensing or whatever to perform rep or debut songs.

2025 would be great for her as a celebratory gesture cause by then I’d assume all Taylor Versions would be out and the Eras tour would have come to an end. So makes sense why she’s delaying it.

Oh, I hope so too! I love her but I'm kind of tired of her and I'm extra salty because I'm not going to shell out thousands of bucks for her tickets... at this point I just don't understand what she's trying to prove as she has the money, respect, acclaim, and icon status...
