The style which she adopte for this era was my favorite. She was really hoot. At the beginning I didn't know what to say about the song, but in time.. it become one of my favorite songs from Gaga. When I'm listening to the Joanne album in full, Perfect Illusion sounds like an absolute masterpiece, banger etc... But when I just listen to the song on its own, it sounds bad and awkward I don't know. Anderson123 35,996 Posted August 16, 2023 Share Posted August 16, 2023 I've always felt like Gaga's lead singles take a while to grow on me because of the expectations after Bad Romance. I remember not loving Born This Way and hoping there would be better music on the album, she was right about this being the marijuana to the heroine of it. Applause was meh but grew on me too and love it now. As for Perfect Illusion, another song that got me feeling like "Is that it?" Of course I think it's one of the best from Joanne now but can't really say much about this album, I rarely listen to it anymore but still love it.
