The fact that she decided to put easter eggs everywhere throughout her career means that fans KNOW that there are things to analyse and look for. When they find patterns, excitement arises, and it builds up as the announcement arrives. Out-of-the-blue stuff is great sometimes as a surprise, but in between those we just wait.. She was on the news 24/7 and turning heads and teasing things on Twitter / teasing looks that would lead to new eras , every single was an era….. she’s just different now and more focused on her other ventures, more talk about haus labs than her music for the past 3 years. All while Taylor Swift dropped 6 albums (3 new ones) attached with ep’s of new music. Not comparing them just saying she’s been working in secret since the beginning of the chromatica era . Pretty certain the rerecordings have been finalised and recorded since before Midnights dropped. She started during lockdown.
