I know in my experience with older gay men, they tend to try living a high life be that in wealth, chasing young dudes, etc. I don’t hold it against them whatsoever, just saying it as point of fact. But you can’t help but wonder like…what would life be like if they hadn’t had all that mass death around their community so young? Or bc of it come out much older? I think that’s where young people can teach older queer people while older folks teach them a thing or two as well. Like Gaga and Tony here. What can both learn from one another while there are so few older queer folk around?

i have quite a few older gay friends that don’t ask for anything other than friendship. we watch movies like grey gardens and mommie dearest and i learn about where i’ve come from. So many gays don’t even give older men the time of day because they think they are gross or that they want to sleep with them, but they are harmless and amazing people.  that’s the point i was making.

Totally agree! I’m just saying that it’s quite literally a numbers game bc as queer people were missing a generation of people. I love that you have that dynamic

It’s so true what she wrote about the elderly… 

Yesterday evening I saw a TikTok about an older woman (75-80) who was being interviewed and she had to have eye surgery and she had nobody - no family nothing and she said she hoped she would die soon because being alone & lonely is horrible. That made me cry - it’s so sad and literally my biggest fear

See this is why I don't understand why people don't believe me when I say that men have privilege to not be viewed as faking every real emotion for some kind of clout. Again the best example are American Life and Witness vs political/critical albums released by male artists. Women are viewed as being selfish for having emotions so much.
