Honestly, they should consider the option of initiating a strike before the concerts. Such a strike could compel the hotel managers to raise their employees' wages, as they wouldn't risk having fully booked hotels without housekeepers available. This way, the union could have a powerful say in the situation and potentially get better wages.

Also, canceling concerts is a big deal. People are having to travel to see Taylor. People will lose so much money and would be very upset if she did this. But at the same time, I see the request being legit. Are these workers on strike right now or just wanting higher wages?

Beyoncé cancelled on Pittsburgh no-problem so probably wouldn't be so far-fetched

That date wasn’t even selling well. All of the Taylor’s LA dates are sold out.

this is the issue at hand here. when carrying out industrial action, public support is everything, and when people start to get the idea that your bosses aren't listening but their trips are being ruined, it'll just look like your strikes are useless and they lost a whole lot of money for no reason.

False! These people with these extraordinary positions could make a lot of impact with some simple moves, hell everyday normal people can. I often think about Amazon workers. If a large portion of the public took a stand for their friends, family, neighbors etc. that do grueling work for Amazon and follow bogus policies and didn’t order for even a week they’d notice a dip in sales and do something about it.

I mean when on you’re on strike or fighting for a cause isn’t that you try to do??? Attract big names or influential people to draw attention to said issue

Not that I don't sympathize with those housekeepers but it's not Taylor's responsbility to postpone her shows because your employer doesn't pay you enough.

That’s not gonna happen. Well over 300,000 people are gonna attend the shows. Plus rumors that she’s gonna announce something big. Could be Rep or 1989. She’s not canceling. Nor should she.

Okay, Taylor can't suddenly make the world perfect you know. People gotta be realistic too. Some of her fans have already purchased tickets, booked flights etc... You can't cancel like that.

Like, not even someone like Gaga who is all about ✨ kindness ✨ would postpone a tour date for an important issue (COVID doesn’t count as it was required to postpone by the government) so why would someone like Taylor

Why is no one even considering that postponing isn’t as nice of a gesture as some of you think, it won’t guarantee employers paying more and what about all the people who made arrangements that cost them time and money to be there on the specific date. You can’t help some by harming others in the process. This is so ridiculous.

All her postponing would do is leave 300,000+ people who’ve already booked hotels and travel with no event to attend and steaming angry.

You can’t just at the drop of a hat postpone six concerts unless there’s something seriously wrong with the performer (and even then it’d be a nightmare. She cannot logistically put a mega tour on hold to support a California labor strike.

There are hundreds of people this tour is employing and she’s got to take care of her own people before she can take care of anyone else.
