I think she's stating reality in a harsh/mean way. Doesn't excuse the rudeness but it remains real/brutally honest. People should not sacrafice too much of their time in dedication to one artist no matter how wonderful they are. Focus on your own life goals. Spend time with friends, family, go out. Don't spend your life savings on attending their concerts a dozen times or buy multiple copies of the same album. It is really is unhealthy behavior.

yeah you're focusing on the wrong thing here. everyone knows that you need to be moderate with these things, nobody argues that the message itself is somehow wrong. but the harshness and nastiness is the problem. it would be one thing if she said "i wouldn't say i love my fans but i appreciate y'all" but she was just straight up mean for no reason.

also i can't say i agree with the second part of your message. if people want to buy five copies of the same album because they're different colours or want to spend their money going to multiple shows for the same artist, let them. it's a horrible world and unless they're doing it because they feel pressured to or like they have to, it's harmless and positive.

Is it that hard to just not interact with fans? Like, there are so many celebrities that flat out ignore or DNI with their fanbase and carry on with their success.

While I agree that stans need to get a life and stop spending so much time focusing on their fave, she didn't have to be so damn rude and mean to those fans.

Fandom has evolved so much. I think it’s completely healthy to have a favorite artist who you keep up with. I also think it’s healthy to start a fan site so other people with similar interests can come together in a positive way to discuss their favorite artists and art.

Also, people collect weird things, one of them being different variations of essentially the same product. Ever see the guy on tik tok with hundreds of copies of the Titanic VHS? He may have a weird collection, but it makes him happy.

back on topic, in THIS day and age, you can’t spit in your fans face and expect to make it. Miranda Lambert did it recently at that concert with those selfie fans, and now people are burning her CDs on tik tok.

it’s like Nike coming out and saying “people who buy our shoes are dumb”

How is buying multiple copies of the same album unhealthy behavior? Am I not allowed to have multiple covers, multiple disc colors? Sometimes you should just speak for yourself

OT: she's horrible, I also unstan this b*tch

If there's variation sure, but if somebody spends 200$ (say hypothetically 10% of their income) to buy 20 copies of the same album, it's unhealthy behavior.

Look, I for one make stupid expenses, but I'm not gonna sit here and claim it's perfectly reasonable lol. Yes all of us probably made stupid expenses in our lives.
