Tinnitus15 50,528 Posted July 18, 2023 Share Posted July 18, 2023 Unpopular opinion but, I don’t think it’s a good thing to rely on her acting career, cuz people still haven’t considered Gaga as an acclaimed actress( they all know her as the LADY GAGA, the singer). Cuz with acting you may never know, it can always “flop” and left you to nowhere. back to the music opinion: I’m sorry but her team needs a reality check or if you wana call it: a refresh. I feel like they live in the past music industry. Yeah I don’t blame her for The Chromatica Ball film wait. She wants to be part of the production/editing team, cuz she wants that Emmy( closer to that EGOT status). I just hope her next era is an ERA (a solid concept, which Chromatica kinda was missing, high fashion, interaction and whatever). I don’t care about tour stages, set lists and so on. Giving some breathing room between projects is actually better in the long run, She's so popular it could easily go into overexposure territory if it was something new every year. The mistakes that XTina, Fergie, etc did was leaving the scene when they were at the peak of their popularity. And that wasn't a short hiatus either. People quickly forgot who they are. With Gaga, she had been through more than 1 peak already. And most importantly, she got her loyal fanbase, something that these other girls lacks. As their listeners are largely regular folks, not the fanatics. Other than that, their comeback music are not too hot either. Be it sounding dated or plain out too weird for the regular masses. Hence, although I understand your attention is only good, please don't be too worried about Gaga, she is doing this before and smashes. So long there's no world scale catastrophe again, she will be able to recapture the people and even adding more into other fanbas, as per usual. That's what a tricon do. She HAS the talent and HAS HAD and Will continue to have iconic performances, but I stand by what I said ! We’ve heard her team talk and promote some of her perfomances as projects with “never EVER before seen technology” etc, but it’s always lackluster. I miss her experimenting with Technology to show us NEW stuff that other artists aren’t doing and to really push the boundaries she just doesn’t seem that passionate anymore to create innovative art and that’s ok. Taylor has had incredible momentum for a while and it has really taken her to untouchable levels of popularity. It seems like as a break gets longer, an artist feels more distant to the GP, or more associated with a bygone era than the current moment. For example, the break between ARTPOP and Joanne was too long (IMO) and there wasn’t enough momentum to carry Joanne to where it needed to go. 2013 and 2016 were extremely different times. However, Joanne + Super Bowl were enough to create huge hype when ASIB came around. 2016 -> 2017 -> 2018 The longer they wait, the more difficult it will become for Gaga to get a smash on her next single or record. You need to study the script, prepare the character etc... It's probably harder than recording an album. Even Ariana who's been working on her film, hasn't released anything since. But at the same time, living privately effectively..which will in return give us a more healthy and focused idol. Gaga wont be the same as before, i accepted that.
