Is she waiting too long?

Is Gaga waiting too long between projects?

I feel worried that she’s going to be Nelly Furtado’d or Christina Aguilera’d (okay I know not that level of flop) if she waits so long between projects that make impact, especially her music career.

I guess seeing T. Swift, Billie, Kylie Minogue and other artists really giving the fans a full experience and new releases every few years, throw in some features, with not such fear of singles flopping etc , it feels gaga is scared and hiding away

It's not even one year since the last date of CBT, in the meantime bloody mary was everywhere, organically, with almost 0 promo and then a few pics from the set of joker 2 created a lot of buzz around the movie and her as an actress.

Gaga is a force by just doing absolutely nothing

girl...you're worrying too much.

around this time next year, she'll be everywhere again in the lead up to joker: folie à deux. it's just the calm before the eventual harley storm. :vegas:

I mean as a Kylie fan, yes she serves and serves hard but we have had similar gaps. Albeit with a Christmas album & 2 greatest hits collections in the same decade lol But the last 10 years for Kylie have been similar to Gaga so they've realistically been equally serving:

Aphrodite (2010)/Born This Way (2011)
Aprodie Les Foile Tour (2011)& Anti Tour (2012)/The Monster Ball 2.0(09-11) & BTW Ball (12-13)

Kiss Me Once (2014)/ARTPOP (2013)
KMO Tour (2014) + Summer Tour (2015)/ArtRave (2014)

Cheek to Cheek (2014) & Tour (2014-15)

Kylie Christmas (2016)/Joanne (2016)
Kylie Christmas Show/Dive Bar Tour (16), Superbowl & JWT (2017/18)

Golden (2018)/ASIB (2018)
Golden Tour (2018+19) + Summer Tour (2019)/Enigma started in Vegas (2018)

Disco (2020)/Chromatica (2020)
Chromatica Ball (2022)

Tension (2023)/Joker (2024?)
Vegas Show & EU/Aus Tour (2024?)

I think the main issue here is that her eras are very very short, and that she never does fun stuff like releasing deluxe songs, anniversary editions with bonus tracks, standalone singles or collabs with other people...

If you think about it, the music industry could be a billion times more fun than it is now but all artists follow the same boring basic formula of lead single, album/2nd single, a 3rd single if you're lucky and then disappear for a few years...

Let's not forget Kylie and Fernando Garibay's two EPs Sleepwalker (2014) and Kylie + Garibay (2015). They were sublime, and have some of my favorite tracks by her. :fan:

but to answer OP, yes

This x10000%!

ofc Gaga has made a HUGE name for herself and her impact is almost everywhere, however ALL her projects  since +/- 2016 lack PASSION. She seems to release music for the sake of giving us a new album.

she doesnt do anything exciting with her eras and OK covid ruined Chromatica, but that doesnt take away of the ract that we actually didn’t get a REAL planned out era with multiple music videos, innovative projects/performances since 2011…

Chromatica Ball seemed promising and while I enjoyed it, it just felt rushed unfortunately…

the setlist was quite short and had too many same old renditions of her old hits…

We need Gaga to come back with a BANG, and show everybody why she is still the best at what she does… We need Unique videos, fashions, shocking COLLABS (visuals/music/fashion) and most of all her PASSION to come through

Honestly don't know how I forgot them, esp Sleepwalker.
I was at the opening night of the KMO tour and that Sleepwalker reveal was ****ing amazing

I just don't think her primary focus is music anymore, which is totally fine. Unfortunately, I am just a fan of her music. I don't really care about her acting career, although I obviously wish her the best for that. I will be here when she is ready to release more music and eager to listen to it exclusively for a year like I tend to do when she releases new music.
