DontCallMeAlice 1,558
Ugh her best tour I had the time of my life on this tour. We waited 3 days to be front row in Toronto and it was so worth it. It was surreal to see her this close. Made memories that I will cherish forever.
chromaticainmyhead 6,357
What a journey that was. I will never forget it. One of the best experiences of my life, truly. My best friend and I were absolutely wasted afterwards but it was completely worth it. My best friend moved to Spain two years ago and we hadn't seen each other since then until that concert. We became really close during our last years in school (she was new in town and became a new classmate of mine when I was 16) which is already ten years ago lol and it was also thanks to Gaga that our relationship became so close because we were the first people we have met who turned out to be equally obsessed about her. And since then we dreamt to one day see her live together. It didn't happen until the Chromatica Ball. When the tour got rescheduled with the opening night happening in Germany it arouse to me that there is a literal very tiny but still realistic chance of attending the opening night of a new Gaga world tour in a reachable distance of my home town together with my best friend. But there was a problem, she moved to Spain, 3000 km away from where I am living and furthermore what made everything around the question of logistics even more complicated : I didn't know myself whether or not I would be able to go because of my ****ed up work schedule... I didn't know until two weeks before the tour started... so everything turned out to become ... very spontaneous When I finally knew that I would be free during the Düsseldorf date I started looking up and trying to figure out if maybe a surprise present to invite her with a short trip to go to the world premiere of the new Gaga tour with me would be even realistic enough because I'm not wealthy but I was also afraid that she would say no because of how close it already was to the premiere and also I didn't want to put any pressure on her financially .. It was a matter of a few tiring evenings and nights of comparing the cheapest flight connections, possibilities of accommodation, rethinking if not another tour date would be much cheaper after all etc etc. And somehow I was able to have it all within the budget of ... not that many hundred euros ( ), GC tickets even, a cheap flight from Spain and accommodation near the venue. So I decided to actually go for it. When I got to the point of having booked all the tickets and had a good feeling that this is going to be amazing, I surprised her with a self made video in the theme of Chromatica that I send to her. We were FaceTiming while she watched the video and it was honestly one of the best things to see her realizing what that mystery and riddle messages from me that she got all the time finally led up to. It was really cute and we thought this are going be the best days of our lives. BUT.... yeah, it had to happen, quite close to the date, around 5 days to be exact, the GC tickets ended up getting lost in the mail lol - of course - and the flight and everything else was already booked and she was supposed to enter the plane the day after tomorrow. It was a drama. Looking again for somewhat comparable sections and prices, it was depressing because of how crazy fast these GC tickets on all the platforms were taken, and how extremely expensive they had become in the first place to the point even general standing tickets were sold to the price of an original GC ticket. I wasn't even looking on resellers, just private market places like eBay but also there it was nearly impossible to get not only one GC ticket but two to a comparable price I had paid for the first time .... so until two days before the date my friend flew thanks to the cheapest flight around eight hours all the way from Spain to Vienna, slept there in a cheap ass hostel, after four hours of sleep she took the earliest possible train the next day to Munich (because I was working in Germany) where we met for the first time in two years and it was there where we both took the Flixbus to Düsseldorf for another seven hour bus ride lol. She was on the road for I don't know I must have felt like 27 hours and I made her do all that lol (but she wasn't complaining) and we didn't even know if all of this exhaustion and constant thrill of looking up for affordable tickets somewhere is even going to be worth it. On our busride we continued looking for tickets, writing everyone, also those who had tickets in general standing area or seats to sell if they can wait for a few hours so we then can look for another two in the Golden Circle area .. it felt senseless but it also felt wrong to give up hope if not one moment we will finally get the same tickets we already had so it must have been quite weird for all the other passengers on the bus near us to see two so obsessed Gaga fans constantly talking about tickets that must have been in an extreme price range for everyone not being a complete Gaga fanatic lol and yeah the idea of being as far in the front as possible was what kept us going, we really couldn't let go of that fantasy to maybe just keep waiting until we are lucky enough and find two GC tickets again. We even paid money to some people just as a form of bail so they kept their reservations of their GC ticket for a few hours and well, there went my original thought of staying economical lol ... at least we made sure those who offered these overpriced tickets kept their offers exclusive to us because of how fast these tickets were gone. (we got the money back thankfully). And then - it was somehow happening in the afternoon after several hours on the bus when I logged in again and there suddenly was this offer of about two not only golden circle but EARLY ENTRY tickets on sale and they were to my surprise cheaper than the two tickets I had bought originally (around 350 euros all in all .. they were basically sold to the original price compared to Ticketmaster) And... we couldn't believe it but we were able to snatch them.. We got them at the day of the concert and it was a rollercoaster of emotions but boy what a release it was to finally hold these tickets in our hands... they felt holy and we cried lol. And from then on everything was just a party. .. It was actually beyond our imagination. The experience of not having to worry anymore but being sure this is going to actually happen. Walking through that town we haven't known before, going to thrift shops looking for accessories because we wanted to dress up accordingly of course and then crafting our outfits. Arriving there on the venue and seeing and meeting all these beautiful people. The atmosphere was one of a kind. You could smell the excitement in the air and the love. Everyone was so ready so see her and also to experience that Chromatica feeling that no one had witnessed before. The talks about how the show is going to be. If it is going to be anything similar to her previous tours, if there are surprises, the Beyonce rumors whether or not there will be a surprise drop of a new collab... it was also so hot and there were so many people. But it was so peaceful and just an overall amazing and fun experience. There were even people leading a spontaneous dance class on how to dance the Stupid Love choreography and so many joined lol. It felt like a Gaga - Disney land. Also when we finally got to the point when they opened the gates and everyone around us saying that Gaga is live on Insta talking about the tour, everyone was SO nervous and excited and that incredible feeling while we were entering the stadium walking up the stairs and the sound of the Gaga Radio remixes came past us and became louder and louder and the fog coming our way wandering down the stairs we walked up to until we entered the stadium and everything was just a scene it could have been straight out of an dystopian apocalyptic horror movie where there is this big ass empty stadium filled with that mysterious fog and at the same time these beats from the music that filled the entire space, it created this unique atomosphere that kept us going until we finally reached the Golden Circle areas and all the people were just too confused and excited to decide which position is the best to experience .... it was all just magical. And totally worth all the expenses and negative feelings along the way. fan-tas-tique, chic, freak, slaaaay

Ladle Ghoulash 16,543
Watching someone livestream the concert on IG was when I realized I *needed* to go. Tbh, because of all of the delays, something about the tour actually happening never felt totally real to me; however, once I saw her performing, how amazing the looks were, and how off the charts her energy was, I was completely sold. One of her best tours.
