Most of those are extremely unnecessary. I'm excited about the X-Files series though. It won't be the same without the original cast, but the concept of the series doesn't require them to be there forever.

spy kids? :littlepotter:

i adore the original for its 2000s campiness, it doesn't need a tacky netflix reboot

Sneaky Oliver

I think it’s kinda too early for Narnia, Twilight and Harry Potter

I’m only here for Percy Jackson because the original movies were so bad and the whole thing got canceled

Meredith Grey

They’re also making a tv reboot/prequel to the Friday the 13th series on Peacock called Crystal Lake.

Railing

the Percy Jackson reboot makes sense, because everyone hated the films, the film series was never completed, and the fans have wanted something faithful to the source material

DCEU makes sense because it's been a hot mess since inception and they're hoping that James Gunn can envision something more cohesive & that actually makes good use of the source material (in the og DCEU, they immediately killed off Robin, Jimmy Olsen, etc. while wholly avoiding Poison Ivy, Catwoman, etc.), while Peter Safran can make it feasible business-wise

Everything else is like "but why tho"

- I really wish the new Harry Potter series was animated, so much less limitations and risk of rushed VFX.

- The X-Files with Ryan Coogler sounds super interesting.

-Greta Gerwig might just create a beautiful fully realized Narnia
