If that's true, I can see conservatives will start attacking it soon after it releases. Especially knowing many people sees Barbie brands as brands for kids. All the conservative parents might make a move. Might possibly causing huge 2nd week drop. Seeing how the new Little Mermaid are still not able to break even few weeks in, sadly these groups do have power over these things. They are either hiding that aspect very well in the trailers or have toned it down during reshoots to make it more GP-friendly. Hope I'm wrong but it still seems kinda risky to me? Word of mouth after its opening weekend might indeed damage its box office run, like you said Like the hype for this movie might be little too big eventually...
