It opens with Stupid Love, so this was gonna be either real good or a complete disaster, but a ride nonetheless.

Its mixed reviews generally agree that it clearly aims to bring The Devil Wears Prada to the Gen-Z audience while also taking a lot from a few shows that leaves this one with a lack of spark and identity to stand for itself. And having a gay culture icon like Kim Catrall play a Miranda Priestly-inspired role was good in theory, but a not so great execution.

To me it was... okay. I enjoyed the surprise cameos, critiques to corporate allyship in Pride month, and a few well-developed character arcs. But it was as entertaining as cringe, especially the Bretman Rock character with dialogues that are 90% pop culture canned bits: "Five years? That's like two whole Gaga eras" or another one saying "he's flopping like a Katy Perry single"

This humor is not funny anymore

The moment the shelf fell, I stopped watching, like please.. this joke is more overused than the twin twist lol

It's a pass, nice story, even important, to bring on the screen, but please, fire these writers already..

I’ll be honest, I knew from the name alone that these writers would write some tired trope-laden gay show so I just couldn’t bring myself to watch. They just get to be so cringe and I wish everyone involved all the success, but it’s one of those shows where you can see the strings the writers are pulling: HIP REFERENCE, GAY THING A LITTLE TOO ON THE NOSE THAT NO ONE WOULD SAY. PROGRESSIVE LEAD.

That kinda stuff. it is a little Netflix predictable which is a shame since their representation seems to be good. But these queer shows NEED to stop yass queening their dialogue to the point of near inhumanity
