She honestly needs a greatest hits package. It would be a good play for her. She has an audience the age of the CD/iTunes market and her hits catalog would be a easy spin in the car or at the beach. I think it would get het more casual streams from people who don't really play her albums.

You really don’t get it, do you? Working with someone before they were exposed as a sexual abuser isn’t the same as working with them after they were exposed. Katy also distanced herself far away from Luke after FreeKesha, whereas Kim did the exact opposite. I know y’all aren’t dumb, I know y’all understand this concept, you just don’t like people calling out an artist you like.

So then it’s okay to listen to and support old dr Luke music but not new dr Luke music ?

It’s not ALL dr Luke music that shouldn’t be supported , only his music after he was accused- got it! Oh but except dua lipa, that’s okay, or doja cat that’s fine too.  They didn’t say anything nice abt dr Luke so it’s okay to listen to their dr Luke music.  But Kim, she said she isn’t sorry so we can’t listen to her dr Luke. Because Kim is the villain here- not dr Luke! He’s okay as long as no one verbally said they’re not sorry for working with him. So his old music is safe to listen to! And his new stuff again as long as the collaborator didn’t defend herself for working with him!!

Katy isn't the one who defended him and stood by him. She is not responsible for his actions and owes it to nobody, to erase all of her debut album work because he happened to make a disgusting choice. This album was created before any allegations came out and katy should not be held responsible or be penalized for that. The work she did still deserves to exist. 

Kim defended him. Its as simple as that. She may have signed a contract with him before she knew, but that doesn’t justify her standing by his personal choices outside of her music. I understand she HAS to work with him. But she doesn’t have to side with him.

Luke is a bad person for sexually assaulting someone. Kim is a bad person for defending a rapist. Katy, Kelly, P!nk, etc. stopped supporting/working with Luke after they found out he raped someone, so they’re not bad individuals. Doja signed with him before she knew he raped someone, so she’s not a bad person (especially for publicly distancing herself from him after he was exposed). People like Kim, Latto, Nicki are actively supporting a rapist after he was outed as one, so obviously a lot of people are gonna be pissed off at them for not giving a single F about his victims.

In a way, yes, but if katy was a victim of his and was not ready to speak on it, i don’t feel like kesha trying to drag katy in it was justified. She has every right to choose wether or not she speaks to the public about her traumatic experience. Just as Gaga has no responsibility to name her abuser.

This isn't about who defended him and who didn't.  it's about the fact that people pick and choose which Dr Luke songs are okay to listen to and which are not.  it really should be all or nothing if you truly believe in not supporting him.  So it is okay to listen to Doja Cat just because she said she won't work with him anymore? you're still listening to Dr Luke music.  SO again, you're making Kim the villain, not Dr Luke.

There are certain circumstances in which listening to his music is not reasonably unavoidable. With this logic, doja doesnt deserve to have a career in music at all bc she just happened to sign with him right before the allegations came out? Again like i said, I don’t really care that she works with him. Shes bound to a contract. The reason i don’t listen to her is bc I don’t think she is a good person (and i just dont enjoy her music) boycotting his work with other artists from before allegations only hurts the artist. Now if katy made another record with him after she found out about this…. Yeah, i would not listen to it. And i would be disappointed in her.
