And only around $130M WW.

I’ve seen speculation that WB might not want to promote Blue Beetle or Aquaman 2 heavily because of fear of losing tons of money if the movies underperform as well. So glad Joker 2 is in its own separate universe and seems to be a movie the public would actually be on board with watching.  :selena:

I read that they need to make $500mil just to break even with all the marketing and production costs. We're probably reaching an end for massive blockbuster superhero movies after so many of them have underperformed.

What did they expect to happen when they announced the whole DCEU is scrapped and none of the movies coming this year matter?

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

Such a shame because the movie is actually good  (minus the horrible CGI) and the best part of it was Michael Keaton's appearance. I went there with no expectations and had so much fun.

The moment they announced the messy plans they have, several fans just dropped the ball on all of this. Now with Aquaman 2 still on the way and the Amber/Depp situation I don't think it's gonna do better than The Flash. Fans are P!SSED.

yeah, this is such a sad mess. as of like a week or 2 ago, even after the announcements that james gunn was completely overhauling the dceu, they were saying ezra miller would be back for sequels if there were any.

but now that I'm repeating it, that sounds like producers hyping up their albatross of a film with empty promises because they know it probably won't happen. lol

Expected. They should've gone with a MAX streaming release to promote the platform's 1,826,372 name change.

DC has just done a bad job with their movies the last couple years. They need to hire some of the marvel people to show them how to do it correctly.

I usually can't stand hero movies, but some friends wanted to see it, and i liked it, it was nice, the end was a bit confusing even tho we knew directly where it wanted to go since the beginning.

I liked it. I thought it was fun and definitely kept me interested. There's so much streaming and movies coming out on DVD within a month after they're released. I just don't think people are going to theaters as much as before. It's no so much whether a movie is good or bad, it's a matter of convenience. It doesn't matter when I go to the theater, it's almost always empty.

I completely agree with this 100%. Not a very smart move.
