$3,499 :laughga:

The thing that's unappealing to me with these VR sets is that it's such a solitary experience. Like, sure the interactivity would be cool, but with things such as sports for example, those are better experienced with family and friends.

ETA: Watched other parts of the presentation and it seems it's also basically a self contained computer?? Interesting, but it's still feels like a glorified monitor to me.

A dead end for most, a boon to rich millennials and zoomers with a **** addiction. Apple should just go ahead and buy OnlyFans now to provide them with a more immersive experience.

I asked about INNOVATION. Where is it? If you can answer @weedthen I'll be happy to answer you

Apple is pretending like they invented VR. They really enjoyed "Being the first" and "Innovating change" while showing off 3D films that an Oculus CV1 from 2016 can do.

Look of course the processor is amazing, the resolution is good but for fkc sake it's 3500$. It should dance, cook and do or4l. There isn't anything new that other VR/AR company wouldn't do in the last 5 years.

The eyetracking gimmick is in PSVR2. You can play on Oculus Quest 2 or soon 3. There are HoloLens from MS.

This is not a portable device. Battery appears to be the Achille's heel. That allows for very little mobility. This is far from a "capture the moments" device as is more akin to the a PC/Tablet/Home Theater replacement at home. It will need to be smaller with about 3x the battery life to be a proper portable. It makes 0 sense. Your paying for when you use it. Which might be- watching a tv show, working on an air plane, and maybe taking some videos. You can do all of that on your phone. But it’s cooler, for $2500 more. Apple is out of their damn minds making this thing cost this much. At that price, the amount of people who will be able to afford it (or even utilize it properly) will be so small there will be almost no reason to mass-produce it. Hope they're baiting just to lower the price later.

I only asked about INNOVATION and I didn't get any answer from you guys :)

REALITY

Looks cool, but I don't know who they're trying to sell it to for $3500. Like, no one just has that kind of money lying around to spend on something like this unless they're uber rich. Hopefully it works better than other VR headsets though. I like the idea of VR, but most of the current headsets in the market just aren't that impressive.

Apple should just stick to their phones and tablets, honestly. Their laptops are horrible I couldn't imagine the nightmare a headset like this is gonna birth :messga:

Ehhhh. I have my qualms with Apple, but their laptops are the most reliable and well built products they put out in my opinion... but I absolutely would never get this headset.

It's a VR headset but I think they are very different, one can see your actual surroundings like glasses and the other is a complete blackout/all virtual. I do think the HoloLens like Simon mentioned is a close product, but it's also $3500 and has been criticized for many shortcomings lol
