Van's twisted survival-at-all-costs mentality is what stood out to me in the latter half of the season and this was emotionally and psychologically compelling to watch. but i still don't understand that side of Taissa though, which is my point does the wilderness affect her uniquely because of her schizophenia? or is it just supernatural possession? and if these questions were answered, when and where? it felt like the second season begun with Taissa finally getting some answers about the "other Taissa" only for her to just run away to find Van and leaving behind her newly elected government job mother, what must i do? elijahfan 24,878
Well, I was actually thinking the exact same and guessed which show you'd be talking about before seeing the full title... I'm surprised critics have been consistently good about this season, because it truly was a bore-fest. The overall plot / mystery didn't move an inch, and what was portrayed actually confused me more than once. The finale had absolutely no weight whatsoever. A real waste of talent... I'm not sure I'll still be watching if they get renewed.
Taylucifer 5,061
I still enjoyed s2 but there was a drop in quality, hoping for the best for S3 to see if they can get back up to S1, so interested to see what the past girls do now the cabin is gone. I think the writers just need more of a plan, right now seems to still be in a stage of they don't know if it is going to be popular but need to have an idea of where everything is leading to as that seems to be lacking in some areas. Idk what they are going to do with them in the present and I don't care as much in comparison to the past. Hopefully Tai gets a resolution cause we can't get that in the past and we find out what this entity is otherwise it could be giving CW. Hope there is more of a focus on the past next season as I think that will by far be the more interesting part, even more so than this season. But overall still throughly enjoyed, love a weekly release, really allows me to have rose coloured glasses towards the season and excited for s3! LilyLark 9,899
The first few episodes were good, but there was a steep drop in quality. It felt like the writers couldn't decide whether they wanted to pursue a supernatural vibe or just go all Lord of the Flies (and have the drawings, etc. just be indigenous rock art and not some supernatural sign). Sorcerer 12,045
I mostly enjoyed the season, but the final episode was so rough that it almost watered down the entire season for me. They wanted a major death twist but it was executed so messily. Basically every single plotline for the adults went nowhere. The drama with the young cast is mostly great though, especially Shauna's pregnancy. The season peaked at that episode of Shauna's delivery and then never bounced back. I don't like Coach burning the house. Seemed like a randomly forced way to set the stage for more challenges to the girls.
