It’s kind of bittersweet. The artists are not meant to satisfy the needs of the fans. I get that her label must have pressured her/her team into releasing it so they can profit from it. If she has decided not to release it before and not include it on Blue Banisters it’s simply because she didn’t want the public to listen to it hence the song was leaked illegally!

that being said, I wish “Tunnel” had THAT amount of streams. It’s the music she actually wants to put out!

if it was being done to satisfy the needs of the fans/the demand due to it trending on tiktok, it would've been released months ago. i think it's similar to gaga's reaction to the bloody mary virality, a nice little "this is an old song but i'm glad you love it so much" gift.

I just wanted to mention how amazing it is she did this. I love that she’s open to revisiting and releasing old work and understands what her fans want. She deserves all the praise.
