I can't with these celebrities.  They give to charity and then use it as a tax deduction.  Takes away from giving to charity in the first place.

Y’all it should always be a big deal when someone with this much money doesn’t pay enough in taxes. Why am I held no exception to pay like 20% of my paycheck but these celebs and rich people have loophole after loophole.

If this was a politician or a male artist or something it would be blasphemous but when it’s Beyoncé it’s “is our country this poor” like why isn’t the bigger concern that Bey (and probably sooooo many other celebs) aren’t paying their fair share? I mean eat the rich right?

Guuuurl whut? You only pay 20% of your paycheck for taxes? A German can only dreaaaam :traumatica:

Prostitute Barbie

The amount she would have to pay that she finds “unfair” will literally come back to her in like a week. Why go through the headache of all this IRS mess when you could just pay what is owed and be done with it :triggered:

It’s so crazy here with taxes :franminervini:

what irks me even more is that working people almost spend half their loan on taxes and people refusing to work get paid for everything

Why are they concerned about money from 2018-19

Is our nation that poor?

the IRS has 5-6 years to audit each of your tax reporting years

you can mess up one year and they will come for u years later

Only pay 20% in taxes but then another 10% for healthcare as well as a tax on everything imaginable. Then what you don't spend on taxes gets absorbed like a sponge by inflated prices because absolutely nothing is regulated here. Also Americans taken an average of 17 paid days off a year, which I'm sure includes any sort of holiday. Germany at least requires plenty of jobs to provide paid holidays off while there's no such mandate in the US.

I do pay additional healthcare too. Some companies in Germany pay for your healthcare others don't.

I mean, I could go on and on... this is from 2020: "OECD study: Germany leads the world on taxes and social contributions."

It averages to about that in the US I believe, depending on your bracket. I’ve always sat between two brackets since getting a job at 16 (I’m 24) and it varies every year between like 18% to 23%

Also don’t tell me please for the love of god that that $2.7M number isn’t all she owed in taxes….she has an estimated yearly income of over $35 million

If I was filthy rich I just can’t see myself not paying my fair share….like if nothing else it’s preventing you from having to save face in the public eye later on

The $2.7 million figure is the disputed tax liability amount, not her total tax owed. Beyoncé may have already paid a significant amount of taxes on her income, and the current dispute is regarding specific deductions she claimed.

Having a tax dispute doesn't always mean someone isn't paying their fair share. Taxes can be super complicated, and even wealthy people like Beyoncé might have legit disagreements with tax authorities. She's exercising her legal rights we all have to make sure everything's fair. So, let's not assume she's trying to dodge taxes just because there's a dispute and give the legal process a chance before we jump to conclusions.
