Did you know?: Azealia Banks Sampled Alejandro

Well, realistically, Azealia didn't sample Gaga. But did you know that Alejandro and Ice Princess share the same "wind" sound bite? You should be able to catch it during the first few seconds of each song. Does anyone know how this is possible? Assuming they both borrowed it from the same sound bank.

ugh. she could literally the Lady Gaga's HipHop. im sure if Azealia is not problematic the gays would stan her than nicki and iggy.

im sure there is a alternate universe where azealia banks is fighting for LGBTQ rights and has a music video where drag queens and ballroom queens are voguing to her music videos like "The BigBig Beat", "Fierce", "Anna Wintour" and "212"

This has been repeated so many times but I have no issue with that because it's so true. She had so much potential and she destroyed it.

Such a shame about Azealia's attitude because it has ruined so many interesting collaborations, Gaga included of course. I still listen to that Sour Candy remix with her vocals someone here made last year, she'd have fit Chromatica so well.

They’re both gonna hate or love this. No in between. But it’s true. Never realized even if I love both of these songs.

Their producers would of probably found the wind sample from the same sample pack or somewhere, that was also probably royalty-free

Or she just doesn’t have to be offensive lol like she doesn’t owe the community political fights lmao she’s a queer black woman who grew up broke af. Like if anything in that scenario the gays should be stumping for Black women like her, ya know?

idk she doesn’t have to be a queer *icon* she can just be a queer person who lives as she wants making her art. I think we’re a little too fast to discount the fact that, in her case, a lot of the white gays calling her out (frankly) have had more privileges than she ever had. Expecting her to be running through hip hop telling everyone to respect the gays because it’s expected to be a gay icon is…eh idk sits wrong with me. I’m content with her just not saying anti-trans ****.

The community looks for one flavor of artist to come from it (loud, proud, political, bright colors, goes on drag race, etc.) and I think we need to broaden the aperture a little in that regard. We can expect that of someone like Madonna. She’s a straight, cis woman (last I checked; I could be wrong); her politics come with taking inspo from the scene imo. But AB only has to answer to the Black trans ballroom gyals imo

Azealia is a person who uses her mental illness as an excuse and never tries to get better because  she enjoys being awful. Just like Kanye. A shame, the world aren't kind to black women like her while they'll bend over men for the same behavior.
