It's great that they have the confidence to perform like that but I just don't think this look is particularly flattering for them.

THIS RIGHT HERE IS THE ISSUE.

Y’all don‘t understand why what he’s doing is so important. His body is not for you to find „hot“ „sexy“ & „flattering“. Loving himself and his body is his prerogative. IT‘S HIS TO LOVE NOT YOURS. Why was the second part of the comment needed, isn’t it perfectly fine to compliment him on his confidence without shaming his body?

Ariana recently talked about maybe not commenting on people‘s bodies. Because it‘s more often than not stressful and hurtful, even if you can‘t see that. And I never felt more seen.

My body is more stereotypically attractive, I love my body a lot, and people commenting on my body still feels incredibly uncomfortable. It‘s just weird, we all have a body, and we all have to deal with our own one, so do that challange.

Where was the part that I shamed their body, or didn't find it "hot" or "sexy"? I have absolutely zero issue with their body.

I know what they're doing and why they're doing it, and again I'm all for it. I simply didn't think it suited them - that's it, it's not mean or that deep. It's perfectly fine to say something isn't flattering on someone?  I don't think I could share my opinion anymore respectfully than I have done.

I'm sur you wouldn't say this if it was a fitted or muscled dancer or singer,

Please keep your beauty standards for yourself and dont create physical complexes for others, thanks ;)

That’s true. And is that wrong? Humans admire physical beauty because it’s not that common and it often takes a lot of work and discipline. It’s special.

Sam is an amazing singer who has talent and has worked hard - so we admire their vocals and music. We’re drawn to what’s special about them.

Now, here Sam makes the point about how we respond to looks. It’s an art statement. But most people probable will never be attracted to a certain body, and maybe it’s fine. Not everyone can be Sam Mendes, I guess)))

I have no issue with someone his weight doing this, I just dont like what hes doing because he always looks horrible, no artistic vision to his work, and the music is bad. CeeLo Green is fat and he sexualizes himself, I dont see people having an issue with it. Everyone here loves Lizzo so I dont think people have an issue with fat people?

Just a reminder, Sam uses they/them/their pronouns

Oh yeah I fully forgot about this! Ill edit my post now..

Can I ask a question? I personally cant use they pronouns in real life because its pretty impossible to try saying they/their/them and talk naturally. Specially that im very dyslexic and english is my third language. I wont force any pronoun on someone, but I also cant use pronouns like they, so ill either avoid you or ask if its okay if I make a mistake. From what ive seen, alot of non binary people say you can call me whatever, or they say she/they.

Agreed.

It’s not their body, it’s how unflattering their clothes always are. They actually dresses badly.

It really isn't though? A person speaking english will unknowingly do it all the time, especially when they are speaking generally or they don't know the gender of the person they're referring to.

I get the language barrier and all but "they/them" has been an established part of the english language for at least hundreds of years, if not all the way back to its conception as a language.

Sam uses just they/them pronouns so they need to be used on the site at least tbh.

If, for some reason, you just cannot use the right pronoun then just use Sam's name I guess. Calling them "he" will just get you warned, we're kinda very tired of the misgendering :laughga:

But you literally just red my comment saying that I edited my original post to their right pronoun, and that it was my mistake for forgotting they are non binary. I also said I would never misgender a non binary person. So whats with the talk about warnings and telling me I have to use they/them pronouns?

I obviously dont have difficulty with the word They, I use it everyday when I speak English, the diffucilty comes when its used for a singular person. This can be hard for English speaking people too.
