Yup.

The chronological order based on the saga is like this, incase you'd like to catch up before watching the 5th:

- Insidious 3

- Insidious 4 The Last Key

- Insidious 1

- Insidious 2

Love this thread, it would be nice to keep it updated because I love horror too.

I start from this, The Pope's exorcist with Russell Crowe from April 14th

Also:

Pooh - Blood and Honey

Beau is Scared

Inside

Thanksgiving

V/H/S/85

The Nun 2 is probably going to be even worse than the first and Saw X is already a mess, like every sequel after the first two

Edit: I got to watch The Pope's Exorcist in advance... don't go. Just don't. And not because it's scary, it's just one of the most generic horror movies of the last ten years

So I just did a rewatch of Insidious in the chronological order (3-4-1-2) and first of all I'm mad they killed Elise in the second movie, like how stupid you have to be? Second of all, I laughed when I see a child Jenna Ortega at the very end of Insidious 2 lmao she was so cute and of course I didn't remember her. So at the end of Insidious 2 Elisa is still with them as a spirit and the cliffangher is her getting scared of something and saying "OH MY GOD!", I wonder if the 5 movie starts from there? I doubt it tho.

The original cast will be reunited so I think it will pick up several years after that (Ty Simpkins, the actor playing Dalton, is now in his 20s). I hope that Patrick Wilson is as good at directing as he is at acting though

The series has come to a point of no return, with the main flaw being the screenplays: and it's not even entirely the writers' fault, it's just that Saw has a very complex narrative and should've stopped with Saw 3D (which was awful anyways, despite being a true conclusion of the main storyline).they didn't succeed in twisting it right since it's full of holes, and the same screenwriters are coming back for X. Also, the director attached has more talent as an editor, so I just hope they use the old cast in an interesting way because objectively there's very little left to tell and I expect just more convoluted flashbacks with implausible traps here and there :(

I've got really high hopes for Insidious 5 :ohno:  (they better be bringing back the red faced demon)

There's also the Five Nights at Freddy's movie coming out on the 27th of October which is a Blumhouse film and is featuring Josh Hutcherson and Matthew Lillard
