Franch Toast 23,753 Posted March 12 Share Posted March 12 Rooting for EEAAO to sweep everything [everywhere all at once], except it can't sweep because it has two nominations in best supporting actress, and I would be very happy if Angela Bassett or Hong Chau won that category. What I hope for: Best Picture: EEAAO Best Directors: the Daniels (EEAAO) Best Actress: Michelle Fücking Yeoh (EEAAO) Best Actor: I really don't care, but I'd be happy with Brendan Fraser (The Whale) or Colin Farrell (Banshees). It'll probably go to Austin Butler for Elvis though. Best Actor in a Supporting Role: Ke Huy Quan (EEAAO), whose speech is going to make me cry Best Actress in a Supporting Role: I'd be happy with Angela Bassett (Wakanda Forever) doing her thing, and I'd love to see an upset with Stephanie Hsu or Hong Chau, but this is such a strong category, and Kerry Condon (Banshees) would be good too. JLC did fine in EEAAO, and has a good chance of winning, but I think Hsu had a much meatier role. Original Screenplay: the Daniels (EEAAO) Adapted Screenplay Sarah Polley (Women Talking) Animated Film: I wish Marcel the Shell with Shoes On would win, because I've loved it since its YouTube inception, and Jenny slate rocks, but it's going to be Pinnochio, which frankly is very deserving. Score: I wish Son Lux would win for EEAAO, but it'll probably be Babylon. Best Song: Don't stone me, but I love "This is a Life" (Miski, David Byrne & Son Lux) from EEAAO, but it's probably going to "Naatu Naatu" (RRR). Best Editing: EEAAO really deserves this one I don't have strong feelings on the other categories.
